Douglas Scala

Doug Scala is Regional President for Rhode Island-Southeastern Massachusetts market. He joined Webster in 2014 and is responsible for commercial banking activities in the region.

Prior to joining Webster, Doug was at an executive at The Hudson Companies, Providence, R.I., for seven years, serving as chief operating officer from 2012-2014. Before that, he had a 20-year career at Bank of America/Fleet Financial Group, most recently as senior credit products manager.

Doug is vice chairman of the Business Development Company of Rhode Island and president of the Wannamoisett Country Club, Rumford, R.I. Rhode Island. Doug earned his bachelor’s degree from the Lake Forest College and an M.B.A. from George Washington University.
