Chris O'Connell

Christopher J. (Chris) O’Connell leads Webster’s private banking efforts in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. Chris was responsible for building a Boston team of private bankers that serve the investment management, banking, lending, planning and fiduciary needs of high net worth clients, their families and related charitable entities.

Chris comes to Webster from Boston Private Bank & Trust Company where he was Senior Vice President and Manager of Investment Sales. He has over 25 years of experience in the wealth management industry as both a producer and sales manager.

Chris is a graduate of the United States Military Academy and served our nation for six years in the U.S. Army where he completed Airborne, Ranger and Pathfinder training while serving on active duty as an infantry officer and earning the rank of Captain. He retired from the Army with over 20 years of service on active duty and in the reserves.

A native Bostonian, Chris is a member of the Corporation of Belmont Hill School, a former board member at Winchester Country Club, a board member of the Winchester Sports Foundation, and a volunteer at Winchester Hospital. He is a Eucharistic Minister at Saint Mary’s Parish and lives in Winchester, MA with his wife Sue and their three children.
